My TEDx talk on Creative Intelligence

Overview

This website appears to showcase myself and my work, but in reality my work and experiences are designed to showcase my clients. As you view this site, please view the work as a client. View the creative as a brand I’m building, the target audience I am influencing or the client’s problem I’m solving. My work is not about me, it is about my clients and solving their needs. That is what makes my career so exciting, solving my client’s needs. 

I have experience in marketing and communications working both agency and client side. Working client side has allowed me to successfully manage national integrated communication plans. My agency experience has given me the opportunity to develop creative that has won several creative awards with my work appearing on five different continents in multiple languages. I have held a variety of positions ranging from Art Director, Creative Director, Marketing Communications Director and Vice President. Having work experience in advertising agencies, national consumer companies, as well as teaching at the college level, has given me a well-rounded perspective to develop insight driven solutions.

Creative and Branding

My creative experience has allowed me to develop national and international campaigns and held an instrumental position on a global marketing team that expanded a Fortune 500 company’s brand internationally.

Marketing Communications

While on the client side I have been responsible for successfully managing multi-channel integrated consumer communications and brand identity programs for a portfolio of brands while managing multiple advertising agencies.

Agency Management

I have managed an in-house adverting agency for a Fortune 500 company responsible for all creative direction along with managing five different departments 1) Creative Group 2) Production Group 3) Photo Studio 4) Global Media Reference Library 5) Web and Intranet Group.

I am currently the Managing Director of a regional advertising agency with the responsibility to lead agency management to ensure profitability, employee development and sustainable agency growth.

Adjunct Lecture and Guest Speaker

I have been an Adjunct Lecturer at Morningside College teaching classes in computer graphics and graphic design. I have been a featured speaker at TEDx Omaha, Direct Focus North America, IAICDV National Conference, and Association of National Advertisers (ANA) events. I have been a guest speaker at various colleges speaking on communication topics ranging from marketing communications to creative development to social media and public relations.

Organizational Development

I developed and taught various classes and workshops on creative thinking. These classes are targeted towards general problem solving and innovative thinking to inspire individuals as well as companies to think bigger and generate enthusiasm to achieve greater success.
